Yard Sale Posts.... Coming Soon!

With the end of the school year right around the corner, and yard sales in full swing, I'll be back to bloggin' about my found treasures soon!

This week, I'll be posting about my find from this Memorial Day weekend. I found some GREAT stuff. I've also found a new Sale-ing Partner that can totally "hang" with me. :)

So keep your eyes, peeled.... lots of new posts to come.

An Altered Coaster

I made this little wall hanging by altering a cheap corkboard coaster. I find these kinds of coasters all of the time, usually in packs of 4 or 8, at yards sales for 10 cents or 25 cents a pack. First, I covered the entire front of the coaster with patterened paper. Then I trimmed and adhered the photo. I added the prima flower embellishments, using some tiny button brads as flower centers. (Thanks, OJ, for those tiny button brads - I love them!) Last, I adhered a ribbon to the back so I could hang it. It's an especially sentimental photo because it's the last one I have of Brian and myself with my Grandma.

Thanks for stopping by my blog,

A Rainy, But Awesome Yard Sale Day!

I'll update this post later with photos. BLOGGER isn't cooperating right now.

Today was a rainy, dreary day, but being the die hard yard saler that I am, I went out anyway. I'm so glad I did!

I found a lot of great stuff. Some of it's for resale, but most is to keep for myself.

For Resale: 12x12 Creative Memories Album - Brand New
A ton of vintage Garbage Pail Kids Collecting Cards
NIP Coluzzle Startup Kit

For Myself: Vintage Frappe Pet
Several cute, country baskets perfect for organizing the shelf above my washer and dryer.
Two Beverly Lewis Books (I love her!) and some other great books by Christian fiction writers.
An awesome canoe shaped shelf for my living room.
A crock
A Craft-Lite cutter, NIB - I bought it for the extra blades and to have an extra paper cutter on hand in case mine dies one night in the midst of a scrappin' frenzy. ;)
Two Close to My Heart Ink Pads
A vintage, ceramic Santa Hat decoration that is perfect for my kitchen decorating
Two unopened packages of linen napkins - restaraunt quality. I'll put them to good use when I host Apples of Gold
A Uno Blitz game, NIB
I found a ton of Mary Kay at rock bottom prices. I bought two foundations, one Firming Eye Cream, one Facial Cleanser, a lipstick, a mascara, and Eye Makeup Remover for a grand total of $12.
I found some other cool stuff, too, but since my family does a "Yard Sale Christmas" I can't post about it here. Hee hee.....
