Heidi Grace at Big Lots

I went to Big Lots last night to check out the scrappin' stuff. They didn't have many new things, but what little new stuff they had was awesome. I picked up a Pastel 8x8 paper pack, heidi grace ribbons, paper flowers, and plastic flowers, Cloud 9 sparkly rub ons in hearts and flowers, and adorable tabs. Gotta love Big Lots! I'm getting geared up for the VSBN at SplitCoast Stampers today. I'm hosting one of the challenges, so I hope everyone will stop by. I'll be running late the event because I have an Apples of Gold meeting and I'm taking Brian out for his birthday.

10 Reasons Why I Love You (Revisited)

This layout was my submission for the fourth and final challenge of the VSBN Preview Party, entitled "Hollywood Squares." We had to use a specific sketch that looked like the Hollywood Squares set. So, I used the top ten list I posted the other day and changed it up a bit. I'm very please with the final layout. Brian really liked it, too (and that's all that mattered to me).

Green and Red, but NOT Christmas

For the first challenge of the VSBN Preview Party, I had to use red and green. I wasn't in the mood to scrap Christmas pictures, so I came up with this layout of my A.C.E. Award night and surprise Master's Degree dinner.

Could someone please tell me how to take a decent picture with my digital camera??!!!

Ten Things I Love About Him

1. He's gentle and kind, rarely raising his voice to anyone.
2. His bald head. Who could resist?
3. He always smells good.
4. He has all of these cutesie little names for me .... SugarPie, SweetCheeks, CinnaBaby.
5. He will watch Lifetime Movies with me even though I know he really hates it.
6. He says, "I Love You," every single day, even when I'm being really difficult to live with.
7. He has an effortless and awesome sense of humor.
8. He's a great cook. He does laundry. He LOVES to vacuum. Need I say more?
9. He doesn't snore.
10. He's so easy going - so carefree. He is so faithful that God will provide for our every need and take care of everything.

Stuck On You

I'm taking advantage of the snow today and I'm staying cozy inside. I'm up to my eyeballs in patterned paper, adhesives, ribbons, rhinestones, stamps, and inks. I thought I'd make some cards today in order to get warmed up for tomorrow's Virtual Scrapbooking Preview Party at SplitCoast Stampers. Ahhh........ the joys of paper crafting. I used Stampin' Ups "Moose You" set for this card. The card base and layers are Handsome Hunter, Chocolate Chip, Mellow Moss, and Very Vanilla. The metal embellishment is from the Stampin' Up Hodgepodge Hardware set. The perfectly matching gross grain ribbon is from the Offray Ribbon Outlet. I used the Cuttlebug machine to emboss the two layers. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Now I just have to decide who needs some love in their mailbox. :)

Easy Peach Crisp Recipe

2 small cans or one large can sliced peaches, drained
2 packets of instant flavored oatmeal (cinnamon and sugar flavored, preferred)
1/3 cup flour
1 cup melted butter

Preheat oven to 425. Layer peaches in the bottom of baker. Combine oatmeal and flour in bowl. Sprinkle over peaches. Drizzle butter over all. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until completely heated through and crispy on top. Great with ice cream!

I made this for today's Apples of Gold meeting. It is a recipe from my good friend Dianne. It was a huge hit. Woo Hoo!

Random HappyScrappers Pictures

I thought I'd post some random pictures from several HappyScrappers meetings. Since we aren't meeting during the month of February and recently celebrated our two year anniversary, I thought it would fun to look back at some of our previous meetings.
